Where defence becomes software.

How we work

DefenceTech Sector runs an AI-assisted newsroom. Software monitors primary sources every weekday, drafts our articles and assembles our newsletter. Every article is reviewed, edited and approved by a human editor before publication, and nothing publishes without that approval.

Sources

We link the primary source in every story: the government or agency notice, the procurement record, the company release or the filing. Claims that matter rest on at least two independent sources. Where no primary source is reachable, we say so and attribute the report to the outlet that carried it, or we do not publish.

Our own words

We write our own summaries rather than copying, quote at most a short phrase with attribution, and never republish paywalled content. The tone is neutral: no hype, no marketing language and no speculation about military operations. We correct our mistakes openly, on the article itself (see Corrections).

What we do not publish

We do not publish operational details that could put people at risk: troop movements, unit locations in active conflicts, or exploit details of fielded systems. When a story cannot be told without them, we do not tell it.

What is not editorial

Press releases in our Press Room are published as submitted and labelled as non-editorial content. Sponsored content is labelled as sponsored wherever it appears, and sponsors have no influence over what we cover.

Correspondence from our editorial systems is signed "DefenceTech Sector Editorial Desk". Questions about how we operate: hello@defencetechsector.com.
